Did we go beyond the hype?
The physical face-to-face Beyond the Hype Web 2.0 is now over, but this site will continue as a record of our discussions, but the real question is: Did we go beyond the hype of web 2.0?
I think that we did - the speakers presented a great diversity of topics and my overall feel from the event was that people agree that these technologies can have real value, but that the most important thing is your clients.
A few speakers mentioned tailoring web 2.0 to your staff, library and customers and making sure you are monitoring client needs in all areas to ensure you are providing the best service for them. (once I have gone through my notes I will try to add specific examples of what people said)
I look forward to seeing the papers up on the site and also anyone's notes/impressions of the sessions.
