I am the Access Services Coordinator in Collection Access, State Library of Queensland. Previously I was the Campus Librarian at USQ Springfield (west of Brisbane) and committee member of BTH: Web 2.0. I also do some casual lecturing in the Master of Information Management at QUT.

My web 2.0 wish - Would like to be able to post my reviews on my library's catalogue like you can on Amazon. And pay my library fines online.

Repeat opportunity for the Social Networking workshop from BTH

ALIA Qld Library Technicians Group invites you to participate in a workshop hosted by Fiona Winston-Brown, Senior Librarian, Australian College of Natural Medicine. Fiona recently presented to “Beyond the Hype: Web 2.0” held at QUT 1 February 2008. Her workshop was entitled “Social Networking tools: facebook and myspace”.

New OCLC report now available: Sharing, Privacy and Trust in Our Networked World

OCLC just published Sharing, Privacy and Trust in Our Networked World.

This report to the OCLC membership summarizes the findings from an international study on online social spaces, including social networking attitudes and habits of both end users and librarians.

OCLC Market Research staff developed a project and commissioned Harris Interactive Inc. to survey over 6,100 information consumers ages 14 to 84 from Canada, France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States.… Continue

Hey Claire - basically, from what I can tell, nope, can't add comments to the front page. Best I can do is add the Blog (down the bottom) - I'm not sure why it wasn't there (I thought it was but obviously not). This is the only other thing we can add if the latest activity thing isn't enough. Cheers
