This helps make Second Life look a lot less intimidating. I've avoided it because I didn't know where to start but her recommendations make it seem almost appealing (almost - I have to stop struggling with "First Life" first :) )

I tried out Second Life early last year but found it such an information overload that I gave up after three visits. I thought SL would be one of those trends that would burn out but it still seems to feature quite heavily in library writings so I'll give it another go with this guide and see if it helps any.
